Glenn Gookin, MD, PhD

With a distinguished academic background, Dr. Gookin earned his PhD in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Irvine, before completing his medical degree at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He trained in Family Medicine at the Mercy Methodist Residency in Sacramento, California, where he developed his broad clinical expertise. Dr. Gookin prioritizes patient empowerment and comprehensive understanding of diagnoses and histories, while fostering collaboration among healthcare providers to ensure strong continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Beyond his medical practice, he lives a highly active lifestyle, pursuing distance running, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, basketball, SCUBA diving, stand-up paddleboarding, and mountain biking—interests that reflect his belief in the importance of health, balance, and vitality in every stage of life.
