Elise Morgan, MSN, AGPCNP-BC, RN
Nurse Practitioner
As an oncology RN with over a decade of experience and a board-certified Nurse Practitioner since 2017, Elise offers a depth of expertise to her patients, shaped by a diverse blend of academic achievements and professional experiences.
While working at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City, she held a variety of nursing and leadership roles in the Clinical Decision Unit and Urgent Care Center. At MSKCC, she honed her clinical skills in the specialized care of oncology patients requiring emergent and critical care; spearheaded major performance improvement projects for the unit; held multiple roles on hospital governance councils; and lead projects to combat burnout and compassion fatigue among her nursing colleagues. She earned her bachelors in nursing with summa cum laude honors from Oregon Health & Science University, and completed a master's in nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner at Hunter-Bellevue College, City University of New York, with distinctions in both academics and clinical excellence. Before her nursing career, Elise graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Art History from UC Berkeley and spent time volunteering as an Art Therapist at Oakland Children’s Hospital and a clinic coordinator for underserved women with cancer at the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic.
She is also passionate about Integrative Medicine, which combines conventional medical practices with evidence-based complementary therapies to address all aspects of a person’s health. She currently holds a certification as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor from the California College of Ayurveda, specializing in individualized diet and lifestyle recommendations for clients.
She takes pride in spearheading the new Survivorship Program at CureRays where she gets to provide holistic support for patients, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social well-being post-cancer treatment.
For her, Nevada City is not just a place of work, but a home where she was born and raised. She feels immense gratitude for the opportunity to raise her own family in the county and to serve this special community as a Nurse Practitioner. In her downtime, she loves swimming in the river, gardening, hiking, listening to music and spending time with her friends, husband and two little kiddos.
