Comfort Cuisine
The Comfort Cuisine Program provides cancer patients with delicious and nutritious meals, made with organic ingredients. The meals are pre-packaged and frozen, so they are easy to heat up and enjoy. They are available for purchase at the Grass Valley Radiation Oncology Department at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The Comfort Cuisine Program is a labor of love for the volunteers who prepare the meals and take great care in selecting the ingredients and cooking the meals to perfection. They know that cancer patients are going through a difficult time, and they want to do their part to make their journey a little bit easier. The proceeds from the Comfort Cuisine Program go back to the Sierra Nevada Memorial Foundation. The Foundation uses these funds to support a variety of programs and services that benefit cancer patients and their families.
"The mission of our program is to make nutritious, comfort food entrees, available to cancer patients, their families and caregivers while the patient is undergoing outpatient cancer treatment."
